Sustainability
We value not only a healthy and fit body, but also a healthy climate. And we take responsibility for this.
What does Gorilla Sports do for the climate?
Climate-neutral parcel transport
Since February 2018, container transport has shifted from trucks to rail. This allowed us to save approximately 898 tons of CO2 a year later, and approximately 815 tons in 2020!
In this way, we support the objective of reducing global greenhouse gas emissions and make a positive contribution to climate protection.
Not only our containers, but also the packages that reach the end user are delivered in a CO2-neutral manner.
We also collaborate with carriers such as PostNL and Brenger, who attach great importance to sustainability and have taken measures to ship in a CO2-neutral manner.
And if you bought an item that doesn't match the box you received it in, that's because we reuse our boxes to minimize how much we throw away.

Our packaging
Used packaging makes up the majority of household waste, and the amount has been increasing for years. Of course, the items must be properly packaged and protected so you can start your workout with the perfect fitness equipment.
We're doing our best to avoid unnecessary filler and plastic bubble wrap. We're phasing out our use of plastic and switching to recyclable paper.

Looking to the future
Besides phasing out our use of plastic, we've also started expanding our range with items made from sustainable materials and will continue to expand this (e.g., cork and natural rubber).
The first steps towards more conscious processing, production and shipping have been taken.
