What products should you buy first when exercising at home?

What exercises do you perform?
To determine which products are best for home workouts, it's important to first consider the types of exercises you primarily want to perform. Do you prefer to do as much as possible the same exercises you did at the gym, or will you adapt your workout to working out at home? This means performing more exercises using your own body weight, or choosing exercises that can be performed largely using the same products.
The basics
When you start exercising at home, there are a few basic items we recommend. Think of a yoga mat, for example. This allows you to perform various exercises with more grip and a more comfortable surface. There are also various accessories, such as comfortable workout clothes, a good water bottle, or fitness bands. Fitness bands make exercising more challenging.
Dumbbells and kettlebells
It's recommended to adapt your workout to your home workout. Sports equipment can be quite expensive, making it impossible to replicate a full-fledged gym. You can, for example, purchase dumbbells or kettlebells in a weight that's roughly equivalent to your fitness level. Using these dumbbells or kettlebells, you can then select exercises that target your key muscle groups. Think of squats, lunges, shoulder presses, and so on.
Barbells and weight plates
Do you do a lot of squats or deadlifts at the gym? Then a barbell with weight plates might be a better option. Using the barbell, you can perform these exercises just as you would in the gym. You can purchase weight plates in various weights to match the barbell. This way, you can train various muscle groups with a single product, and you won't have to start at a lower level once you can return to the gym.
Depending on your goals
As you can see, the best products to purchase depend largely on the exercises you want to perform and your goals. A yoga mat is always recommended, as it provides a suitable surface for performing the exercises. You can also perform exercises using dumbbells, barbells, or your own body weight. Consider exercises like push-ups, pull-ups, or lunges.
