Why a dipping belt belongs in your gym tools

A dipping belt , also known as a dip belt, isn't a regular leather belt. It's a belt with a chain at each end, from which you can attach weights. This allows you to make your dips much harder.

We'd love to tell you all about the dipping belt in this blog post. We'll cover what you can use it for, what the benefits are, and of course, some sample exercises.

What is a dipping belt ?

The name pretty much says it all: it's a belt you use when doing dips. So the first question is: what is a dip? Dips stands for dipping. And that's exactly what you're doing. Looking at the exercise, you lower yourself, or dip, and then push yourself back up.

The most common form of dips is to hold two bars. These are parallel to each other, and you hang between them. From this position, bend your upper body slightly forward and lower yourself slowly and controlled (with your feet off the floor). Your upper and forearms should form an angle of about 90 degrees, and once you reach this point, push yourself back up.

Dipping with more weight

As mentioned above, a dipping belt is a leather belt with a chain at each end, from which you can attach weights. You wear the belt around your waist, and you hang weights (such as a disc) from the chain. This allows you to make the dips described above more challenging and challenge your muscles even more.

Note: Make sure you've mastered the exercise first. If you haven't mastered the perfect form and the exercise is demanding enough with body weight, adding extra weight increases the risk of injury.

Once you've mastered the dips, using the dipping belt is a good challenge. You can easily order one through our website. It's not only convenient for your home gym, but also great for taking to the gym.
