Gorilla Sports supports The Barefoot Dutchman!
Covering 2,600 kilometers along the Australian coast in 4 months. Barefoot!
Dutchman Anton Nooteboom, AKA The Barefoot Dutchman, will begin this adventure in a few days. This is all to raise awareness for men's mental health.
What a wonderful cause and what an achievement! We at Gorilla Sports think this is a fantastic initiative and therefore support Anton wholeheartedly.
World record attempt
The journey, which is completed in stages of about 20 to 25 kilometers per day, is an official Guinness Book of Records world record attempt. At the time of writing, numerous barefoot records have been set, such as walking 3 km on Lego bricks (ouch!) and walking through snow. However, the challenge Anton is taking on is a different matter due to the duration and length of the journey.
We'll keep you regularly updated on news and facts, and we'll also share sights that Anton, who lives in Sydney, encounters during his trip.
You can also follow Anton yourself. Click here for his Instagram and here for the link to his website. If you'd like to contribute to this record attempt and Men's Mental Health, click here . The tour starts on May 8, 2021.
We wish Anton the best of luck!

Anton has now been on the road for almost a week. The first 100 kilometers are complete, and the journey is going smoothly. Along the way, our Barefoot Dutchman regularly encounters people who help him in whatever way they can. They patch his flat tire, give him some food or drink, or walk with him for a while, enjoying a good conversation.

Five weeks later, our Dutchman has arrived in Wilmington. He's already covered 580 kilometers of the 2600, and popped quite a few blisters! Anton's biggest motivation is raising awareness for men's mental health, and along the way, he's meeting more and more people who want to talk to him about this topic, among other things.
