Even after lockdown, the benefits of your home gym
Share
Lockdown is over, and you've just assembled your entire home gym. What now? Time for a workout, of course! There were already plenty of benefits to working out at home before the first lockdown began. Read all about them here.
Of course, we're not saying you should skip the gym; they could really use your help! But there are also plenty of benefits to home fitness that you can enjoy with the equipment you've acquired during lockdown.
1. It remains nice and easy
Working out at home is so easy; all you have to do is put on your workout clothes and you're ready to go. Unless you prefer working out in jeans, in which case you're ready to go. Especially with this cold weather, it can be hard to find the motivation to go to the gym. Especially after a long day at work. Just an hour of home workout will instantly make you feel much better.
2. Saves you time, effort and money
Of course, gyms haven't had it easy either, but you might also have lost your job or been unable to work due to the lockdowns. In that case, working out at home will save you money. And it also saves you time and effort, because where are your headphones, water bottle, toiletry bag, deodorant, gym towel, gym pass... Which brings us back to the first point: it's much easier to just get that workout in at home.
3. Nice in your old jogging suit
At home, you can be yourself and work out in your old clothes. Let's be honest, we always make sure our workout clothes look good before we go to the gym. And they're often not as comfortable as that worn-out sweatsuit we prefer to wear. At home, you don't have to dress up for anyone. You work out for yourself! Flirting will return to the pub, which is open again.
4. No queues
Want to train your chest tonight? You can get started right away, for example, with a barbell and a weight bench. No need to wait for someone to be ready.
5. Go straight to bed
After such a long day and a workout, it's so nice to be home right away, because you haven't been away. Take a nice shower, grab all your toiletries, and dive into bed feeling refreshed. Tomorrow is another day!
