Here's what you need to pay attention to when you start exercising

What is the underlying purpose?

Before you start exercising, it's important to determine your underlying goal. Do you want to lose weight, or is your goal to get fitter and stay fit? Perhaps your goal is to tone up your body by building some muscle. For each of these goals, there's a different form of exercise that's best for achieving it.

Is your main goal to lose weight? If we're just looking at burning calories, cardio is the best form of exercise. Cardio includes sports like running, cycling, dancing, and swimming.

Do you want to achieve a more toned body in addition to losing weight? Then we recommend a combination of cardio and strength training. We use equipment like kettlebells , dumbbells , and ropes .

If your goal isn't specifically to lose weight, but rather to achieve a more toned physique, start strength training. Besides increasing muscle mass, strength training is good for both your mental and physical health. For example, it boosts your self-confidence and reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease.

What do you like?

Once you've established your goal, it's time to decide which types of exercise you'd like to do. If you don't know what you enjoy, you can try different sports. For example, go for a run or swim a few laps and see how you like it. Strength training might be a bit more challenging. If you'd like to try strength training, you might be able to join a friend, colleague, or family member who has a membership. Most gyms offer day passes.

Keep on going!

Now that you've started exercising, it's important to stay consistent if you want to see the effects on your body. Some people find it difficult to stay motivated. A good tip is to find a workout buddy to train with. This way, you're interdependent and might be more likely to push you to exercise. Plus, you'll always have someone to chat with and can challenge or encourage each other.

This blog post discusses some tips that will hopefully help you get started with exercise. Above all, try to find what you enjoy and do it at your own pace. You'll see that you'll feel much better, both physically and mentally. So what are you waiting for? Take that first step towards becoming a better version of yourself!
