Focus of sports
Fun fact: Exercise has been shown to have a positive effect on your focus and concentration. In the Netherlands, research has shown that a 20-minute cardio session can improve the attention span of schoolchildren. And an American study shows that after a year of daily exercise, children were able to ignore distractions more easily. In other words: better focus.
The great thing is, you don't even have to exercise for long to see results in improved focus. A 10-minute workout every day with coordination exercises (like running quickly across a fitness ladder or throwing a medicine ball) can already improve focus. Surely that should be doable? Get started now!

And with the focus you gain from exercising, you can then perform strength training much more successfully. When you think about the specific muscles you're training, you increase neuromuscular activity in those specific areas. Powerful words, but significant results. It gives your muscles a better training stimulus, and you reduce the risk of injury.
Do you find it difficult to maintain focus while exercising? Then, in addition to exercising for better focus, we also have some extra tips for you. Firstly: put your phone away. It can be such a distraction! There are still MP3 players, which you can also use as music to improve your focus. It also helps to exercise on your own, alone. Perhaps less fun, but better for your focus.
