The Benefits of Training at Home with Gorilla Sports!

Training at home... The real deal
What exactly are the benefits of training at home?
- You have no travel time.
- Your equipment is never occupied.
- There's no one watching or supervising you, so you can easily take things to the next level or try something new without fear of looking like a fool.
- You decide who uses your gym, so it also has advantages from a hygienic point of view.
- You can take a shower and eat straight away at home.
But besides these advantages, there's also a major challenge. How on earth do you ensure a full-fledged gym fits into your apartment? The trick is to use an efficient combination of equipment and materials. I'll tell you which equipment and materials I consider essential in a home gym. I'll base this on the minimum you need to train for strength or muscle mass. Of course, more extensive options are also possible; it just depends on how crazy you want to make it.
Barbell set 100 kg
Especially if you train at home, you'll often do exercises with free weights. In that case, a barbell, curl bar, and two dumbbells are the basic equipment you really need to perform most of your exercises. Eventually, you'll want to train heavier to build more muscle mass and strength. In this case, you'll use more weight than your actual weight for certain exercises. Therefore, it's wise to get a 100 kg set. If you weigh around 70 kg, a 100 kg barbell set is a good set to start with. If you weigh around 100 kg and aren't planning on losing weight, you might want to order a bit more.

The Gorilla Sports range offers several options. Besides a choice between a 70kg and a 100kg barbell set, the range also offers a variety of materials. The Plastic and Gripper Plastic barbell sets are good quality and more affordable, but if you also want to focus on your back, the other options might be better. The Rubber , Chrome , and Cast Iron sets are stronger and generally won't break. Plastic sets are therefore less suitable for heavy exercises like deadlifts and barbell rows, where you lift the weight off the ground.
Power Cage and Adjustable Weight Bench
When you're just starting out, a barbell set is all you need to build a solid foundation. You're still building your strength, after all. The weight you're training with probably won't be very heavy yet. You can probably still lift the weight you use for squats and bench presses. But as you increase your training load, this will become increasingly difficult. In this case, it's helpful to be able to lift this weight from your Power Cage .
The Power Cage is also your spotting buddy. This cage features safety bars that will drop the weight if you can't finish your squat or bench press. This allows you to train at home until your muscles fail and try to break your own records. This will result in increased muscle mass and strength.

I also find it a big advantage that the Power Cage has a pull-up bar. This allows you to thoroughly target your lats. You might not be able to do pull-ups at first, but you'll get the hang of it quickly enough. You can also add the Tower 2000 and a Suspension Trainer to your Power Cage; together, these offer a range of new training possibilities.
For your bench press and other chest or shoulder exercises, you'll need a bench. It's important that the bench is adjustable so you have more options. You can find suitable benches here .
In my opinion, these are the essentials you need in your home gym to be able to do full-fledged workouts.
You can always supplement your gym with equipment like kettlebells and tricep trainers . Fitness mats are also a must-have if you have a noisy apartment. When choosing additional equipment, let your personal preferences guide you. Some people prefer kettlebells, while others prefer a weight bag. Make sure you maintain your enjoyment.
